Research line on time-varying data visualization
Aim
The goal is to contribute to the enhancement of the efficiency of the visualization of time-varying datasets by providing interactive exploration of the data through time with moving camera and changing transfer functions. Currently, we focus on using compression and optimized data structures and algorithms to manage data efficiently.
Topics
- Exploit frame-to-frame coherence (ftf).
- Ftf Object-space coherence: Temporal Run-Length Encoding (TRL) for Ray-casting, Splatting and 3D Texture-mapping.
- Ftf Pixel-space coherence: Ftf coherence Ray-casting.
